Labii ELN & LIMS Introduces New Reporting Functionality

Today’s electronic lab notebook is more than just a software to replace paper and pen: it is a multi-functional data manager. People are using an ELN as it can quickly and accurately import data, notes, observations, and generate reports from a computer or mobile device. Integrate ELN with a LIMS platform, and the ELN becomes even more of a powerful data hub for all scientific labs.

With more people using an ELN and LIMS platform today than ever, the size of the data generated has increased dramatically, starting from what was once MB to now TB! It is becoming increasingly hard to track and manage all the documentation and research given such large amounts of data.  It is vital that users have a way to keep track of not only their own progress but the entire team’s progress. Labii has put a lot of effort on this and today we are announcing the new Reporting Functionality.

Labii enables you to create a report at multiple levels within an organization. As a single user/individual, you’ll be able to track your own work progress. For example, you can create a report to see how many experiments you’ve completed on a weekly basis for the past 6 months. As a Project Manager, you’ll be able to view the progress and performance of your entire team, drilling down to every detail of each team member. Now if you’re an administrator, you have the ability to track and gauge the performance of the entire company. Labii reports are also extremely flexible, meaning you have the ability to customize the chart type (Bar Chart, Line Graph, Area Chart, or Pie Chart) time range (start date and end date), and unit (days, weeks, months, years).

On top of everything mentioned above, Labii also supports report from filters. You have the ability to use filters to narrow down a specific set of records and then generate reports based on those filters.

How to generate a report in Labii

Here is an example of how to generate an experiment report:
  1. Go to tables on the nav bar and select experiments
  2. Select Reports on the left side of the interface
  3. You now can generate experiment reports by Time, Personnel, and Projects
  4. You can select the date range, page size, and personnel if applicable
  5. You have 4 options for the report- Bar, Line, Area, and Pie

Labii ELN Reports will keep you and your team “in-the-loop” and satisfied regarding the progress of your research. If you’d like to learn more and see how you and your team can save valuable time, please schedule a demo with us at http://schedule.labii.com
