Labii ELN & LIMS data centers

Labii ELN & LIMS is announcing to their European clients the opening of the new and exclusive database server based in Europe. Besides the already existing data servers: The private data server in California in the US; one of the best intercontinental network connectivity in North America and the main and private data center for MBC BioLabs in Northern Virginia in the US, the world’s leading data center market, where up to 70% of the global internet traffic flows through daily. Due to its fibers’ density, powerful infrastructure, and secure environment. The European data server is now located in Ireland, Europe, and the website is available at

One of the major factors to take into consideration when dealing with data is the website hosting provider. As a matter of fact; the location of the data server affects the speed; the closer the server is located, the faster data is loaded. and boasts the Searching Engine Optimization (SEO) of locally hosted websites reaching the targeted public. As a matter of fact; the country-specific versions of Amazon and Google websites have an average of 15 % more performance than the global website.

Another important point is that different countries deploy different legislation and regulations with regard to information security. As in some European countries where authorities can make legitimate requests to access any specific data. That’s where Labii ELN & LIMS comes in. Labii follows the law of the local government and will create a data server with high stable connectivity in your country to keep your data safe. We can also create a private data center dedicated to your own company where only the staff members have access to it.

Moreover, Data is one of the most important and vital aspects of any company that uses technology to create, collect, and store their data. That is why protecting companies’ shared IT from external and internal threats is crucial for the functioning and the integrity of the enterprise. Labii ELN & LIMS keeps your data secure on both the physical and technological aspects by ensuring an optimized and flexible data center’s infrastructure, protection environment and disaster recovery, data masking and access control, encryption and tokenization...etc.

Chemical Registration with Labii ELN & LIMS

Whether it is pharmaceutical, food safety, or biochemical laboratory; identifying and listing bioactive substances and drugs is essential to keep the workflow history and chemical information recorded. The chemical registration system is an intern digital database that enables laboratories to manage, to organize, and to keep track of the chemical compounds they are using; all by storing their data in one place.

With classic chemical inventories and registers performed within a notebook or even with excel sheets, you can only stock the list of chemicals used in the laboratory and their relative information, without updating their availability status among the experiments progress. Computing on visual scanning and labeling to identify and manage chemicals is cost-expensive, time-consuming - like with the crisis of covid 19, where millions of laboratories around the world are working with thousands of chemicals to develop vaccines and antiviral medications; to know exactly where the chemicals are placed, their safety measurements, and toxicity information are necessary and needs to be properly managed - and life dangerous, especially when dealing with hazardous compounds that need to be stored in specific places such as flammable safety cabinets and their locations needs to be monitored.

Today, a lot of companies are creating specific chemical registration software dedicated only to chemical management. Labii ELN & LIMS makes it possible to create a chemical register with a tracking system only by using the all in one Labii’s ELN. To register a chemical with Labii’s LEN & LIMS system you need:

  1. First, to create a chemical table, you add a new table in the settings menu by clicking on the plus button and choosing the chemical option and submit.

  2. Once the chemical table is created, you can start registering chemicals by clicking the plus button in the chemical table to add a new chemical.

  3. Next, you enter the name of the chemical and select the type of project you want to store the chemical in, the name used should be the same for similar items in different batches.

  4. At this point, you can set a template as a model so that all the chemicals will have the same column data to fill in.

  5. Once you submit, the new chemical is added to the chemical table.

  6. To add chemical details you need to press the edit icon of the molecular formula and click generate then submit; the molecular formula, molecular structure, molecular weight, and SMILES will be automatically generated from an online database.

  7. To add the SMILES structure, you need to copy and paste the SMILES formula in the SMILES structure field and click submit; the SMILES structure will be displayed.

  8. In the description box; you can add information about handling requirements, safety measurements, and storage conditions of the chemical.

  9. Other columns can also be created; such as location, volume or amount of the chemical, expiration date…etc. to ensure the traceability of the chemicals used.

  10. At the end of the registration, you choose “is_template” or “is archived” to set the availability status of the chemical.

Besides the ability to filter the search of a chemical-based on different parameters such as molecular formula, molecular weight, location…etc. Labii's chemical registration feature also enables you to examine and control the usage history of chemicals. Such a tool ensures a productive and efficient workflow so that managers with limited budgets can reduce procurement costs and limit anarchic orders.
